FORTRAMA 2026: Thank You for So Many Sparking Conversations! 🔥

This year at FORTRAMA, we showed that, as part of our 10th anniversary, we truly burn for our customers and their solutions. We shared plenty of sparking ideas, had inspiring conversations, and even managed to ignite a few sparks along the way—handing out nearly 30 consulting vouchers during the conference.

Our booth also reflected our anniversary theme, with giveaways that told the story behind our journey:

March 2025: “What’s the Wolf Doing at FORTRAMA?”

This year, our exhibition booth told a story—and it proved to be the perfect conversation starter. If you haven’t heard the story behind the wolf yet, feel free to ask us the next time we meet!

We look back on a highly successful FORTRAMA Conference:

• We received fantastic feedback from our existing customers—thank you for your trust and support.
• We sparked the interest of more than 30 potential new customers.
• We sent out our Project Plan2Go to two interested organizations directly from the conference.
• We satisfied the sweet tooth of many conference attendees with €180 worth of treats at our booth.
• Our two presentations were very well attended—thank you to everyone who joined us. 🙂
• And, if you ask us, we certainly had the booth that people remembered long after the conference ended. 😊

Januar 2025: Setting the course

The year 2025 is off to a great start with exciting new projects and inspiring challenges. From evaluating new Research Information System (RES) solutions on the market, developing a Performance Oriented Measurements (POM) calculator on top of an established RES, and creating public-facing websites for configurable RES platforms, to implementing new systems for research consortia—we look forward to embracing new opportunities and continuing our successful collaboration with our valued customers.

The dates for this year’s company trip have also been confirmed: Saturday, 17 May, to Monday, 19 May. Where are we going? That remains a well-kept secret—known to just one person. 🙂

We are also delighted to be the sole principal sponsor of the FORTRAMA Conference 2025 for the first time and are looking forward to another fantastic event.

December 2024: A Special Way to End the Year

An eventful year is drawing to a close, and we’d like to say thank you to all our customers.

Thank you for your loyalty, your support, your enquiries, and the opportunity to work together on so many exciting projects. You have made this past year a truly rewarding one for us. We look forward to continuing to support you and developing new solutions together in the year ahead.

This year, instead of exchanging gifts, the entire AT-CRIS team chose to make charitable donations. Together, we supported causes close to our hearts with a total contribution of €3,200.

To celebrate the end of the year, we enjoyed a very special evening at the Blindekuh restaurant in Basel. Dining in complete darkness turned the experience into an unforgettable journey of the senses—and a wonderful way to bring the year to a close.

September 2024: A New Addition to the Team!

August 2024: Summer Holidays and Farewell

July 2024: Company Trip 

Another journey into the unknown…
After months of persistent—and increasingly creative—attempts to get even the smallest hint from our CEO about this year’s destination, the secret was finally revealed on Saturday morning as we boarded the high-speed train to Basel: Radolfzell on Lake Constance.
The original plan was to spend the afternoon sailing. However, due to thunderstorm and strong wind warnings, the sailing course had to be cancelled. Instead, some of us braved a refreshing swim in the lake, while others explored the town or relaxed in the hotel’s wellness area.

The weather also disrupted our planned hike the following day, but alternative activities were quickly arranged. Some visited the Zeppelin Museum in Friedrichshafen, while others explored the exhibition on the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Reichenau Island in Konstanz.
Just in time for dinner, the clouds cleared, allowing us to enjoy a breathtaking sunset cruise across the lake aboard a solar-powered boat.
On Monday, the sun finally returned as we headed to the beautiful island of Mainau. Split into two teams, we competed in a rally featuring quiz questions about the island’s impressive collection of trees and flowers. Although none of us could claim to be botanists, enthusiastic guessing—and the occasional discreet look at Wikipedia—helped level the playing field. Whether the best team actually won remains the subject of lively debate to this day. Filled with wonderful memories, great experiences, and plenty of laughter, we boarded the train back to Karlsruhe in the afternoon. And, of course, the speculation about next year’s destination has already begun.

May 2024: Sponsor of EuroCRIS

This year, we were once again proud to sponsor the EuroCRIS held in Vienna. It was a pleasure to meet many of our Austrian customers in person and to enjoy numerous inspiring conversations—hopefully not just because of the sweets we offered at our booth.

If our chocolate bars managed to bring a spontaneous smile to a few busy conference attendees, we certainly achieved our goal.

Our presentation took place in an impressive setting and was a real highlight of the event.

A big thank you to TU Wien for hosting such a well-organized conference. We truly enjoyed being part of it and look forward to seeing everyone again next year.

April 2024: KISS Goes Live

With the successful go-live of KISS, another major project has reached an important milestone. Over the course of just 12 months, including a two-phase go-live, data migration, and extensive functional design, we configured approximately 2,500 attributes across 75 entities, developed 54 reports with more than 500,000 lines of code (LoC), defined 25 user roles, customized the look and feel, and implemented numerous custom “magic” scripts.
A heartfelt thank you to our customer for their continuous commitment, pragmatic decision-making, patience, and valuable input throughout the project.

We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to our AT-CRIS colleague for her extraordinary dedication and outstanding contribution to this project’s success. Your commitment was truly exceptional. You pushed boundaries and delivered an outstanding result—thank you!

Veränderung als Chance. Mit diesem Motto gehen wir in das Jahr 2024. So durften wir Veränderung erfahren, weil uns eine langjährige Kollegin verlassen hat – an dieser Stelle nochmal vielen Dank für Deinen Einsatz bei uns. Es hat uns Spaß gemacht mit Dir zusammen zu arbeiten.
Wir haben diese Veränderung tatsächlich als Chance verstanden und haben zwei neue Kollegen (Martin und Erik) in unserem Team begrüßen dürfen. Somit war dies eine sehr gute Veränderung für uns!

Embracing Change is our motto for 2024. We experienced change ourselves as we said goodbye to a long-standing colleague. Once again, we would like to thank her for her dedication and valuable contribution over the years. It was a pleasure working together.
At the same time, we saw this change as an opportunity and were delighted to welcome two new colleagues, Martin and Erik, to the AT-CRIS team. Looking back, this change has proven to be a very positive one for us, and we are excited about the future together.

December 2023: Christmas Party

We are delighted to welcome Huidi as our newest colleague. She will strengthen our technical team and further expand the breadth of our expertise.

The end of the year is always a good opportunity to pause, reflect, and say thank you.We were delighted to celebrate the occasion together with our team and their partners while enjoying excellent food in a wonderful setting.
